PETER AND PAUL FORTRESS

On Zayachy Island, along the banks of the Neva, stands the Peter and Paul Fortress — the very place where St. Petersburg began in 1703. At its heart is the majestic cathedral with a golden spire, the burial site of the Romanov dynasty. History echoes through these walls, once a prison for famous names, and lives on in every stone.

THE STATE HERMITAGE MUSEUM

The State Hermitage Museum is one of the world’s greatest art museums and the crown jewel of St. Petersburg. Founded by Catherine the Great in 1764, it now holds over 2.7 million treasures — from ancient Egyptian artifacts to masterpieces by Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Monet, Van Gogh, and Matisse. Every hall is a journey through centuries of world art and Russian history, all inside a palace of breathtaking beauty.

RIVERS AND CANALS CRUISE

A boat trip is a very pleasant, interesting and romantic way to explore the city. St. Petersburg is often called the Venice of the North. It lies astride 42 islands washed by 65 rivers and canals. You will go along the old canals, tiny rivers and under the bridges. You will discover completely different city and it will be easy to imagine yourself in the 18th - 19th century St. Petersburg, where canals and boats existed - busses did not.

ST. ISAAC'S CATHEDRAL

St. Isaac’s Cathedral is the grandest and most opulent church in St. Petersburg, crowned with a golden dome that glows above the city skyline. Its breathtaking interior features malachite and lapis lazuli columns, intricate mosaics, and over 100 types of stone. A masterpiece of architecture and art — it’s a must-see symbol of Russia’s imperial glory.

The St. Petersburg metro

The St. Petersburg metro is more than just transport — it's an underground palace. Its interiors feature marble, bronze, chandeliers, and mosaics worthy of a museum. One of the most beautiful and deepest metro systems in the world, it’s an adventure in itself!

Catherine Palace

Catherine Palace in Pushkin is a true gem of Russian baroque — grand, gilded, and unforgettable. Inside awaits the famous Amber Room, a dazzling masterpiece once called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Every hall, every detail here breathes history, splendor, and the legacy of the Romanovs.

The Amber Room

The Amber Room is the only hall in the world entirely decorated with amber, covering an area of about 100 m². Lost during World War II, it was meticulously reconstructed by Russian craftsmen in 2003 for the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. Over 6 tons of amber, gold, mirrors, and intricate carvings make this room a true gem of the Catherine Palace.

Pavlovsk Palace

Pavlovsk Palace is a hidden gem just 27 km from St. Petersburg — a neoclassical masterpiece surrounded by a vast English-style park with winding paths, sculptures, and quiet corners. Once the imperial family’s countryside retreat, today it welcomes over 1.5 million visitors a year. Pavlovsk is officially protected by the Russian state and UNESCO, making it a must-see for lovers of beauty and history.

SAVOUR ON THE BLOOD CATHEDRAL

The Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood stands on the very spot where Emperor Alexander II was assassinated in 1881. Its vibrant domes and golden mosaics make it one of St. Petersburg’s most iconic and breathtaking landmarks. Inside, over 7,500 square meters of mosaics turn every wall and ceiling into a shimmering work of art.

The Yusupov Palace

The Yusupov Palace on the Moika River is one of the few places in St. Petersburg where the aristocratic life of the past truly comes alive. Lavish interiors, a unique 18th-century private theatre, and authentic princely chambers preserve the spirit of a bygone era. Each hall here feels like a page from the noble history of Russia.
