01 Day Moscow:

  • Your guide meets you in the airport and takes trough the Moscow city telling the facts, myths and fairy-tales of the great capital of Russia. In the evening you have a dinner in fabulous restaurant “Metropol” strong on Russian specialties and where you may not be able to take your eyes off the swimming pool-size stained-glass ceiling. After dinner you will be taken for “Moscow by night” tour to see all magnificent lights of the city that never sleeps!

02 Day, Moscow:

  • Start your day on the Red Square inextricably linked to all the most important historical and political events in Russia since the 13th century. Then we visit the Kremlin, the heart of Russian Federation. Its monumental walls and towers, golden-domed cathedrals and ancient palaces stand high on the Borovitskiy Hill above the Moskva River forming a magnificent architectural ensemble.

Day 3, Moscow - Vladimir:

  • After Check out - transfer to Vladimir-on-the-Klyazma, the capital of ancient Rus, founded in 990 by Prince Vladimir, who baptized Rus into the Orthodox faith. We attend divine services in the Assumption Cathedral, erected in the XIIth century and adorned with frescoes by Russia's most celebrated icon-painter - Saint Andrei Rublev. We walk through the arch of the Golden Gate - the only surviving example of Russian medieval defensive architecture and the city's symbol. Overnight.

Day 4, Vladimir - Suzdal - Vladimir:

  • We leave in the morning for Suzdal, the city which is usually called as a jewel in the crown of Russian Golden Ring. There are more than a hundred landmarks there; some of them are in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Here we have an excursion and master class in Suzdal ceramics. Transfer back to Vladimir. Overnight.

Day 5, Vladimir - Kostroma:

  • This morning we drive to Kostroma. This is a wildlife sanctuary, a great number of architectural monuments and people, whose talent, creativity and heroism glorified and continued to glorify this land. We visit an Open-air Landscape Museum “Kostromaskaya Sloboda” situated in the most beautiful place – at the junction of the rivers Kostroma and Volga, near the ancient Ipatiev Monastery. The pearl of the museum – the oldest wooden church of Russia – is the church from the Cathedral of Our Lady (1552). Overnight.

Day 6, Kostroma - Moscow:

  • Today we are coming back to Moscow. On our way we visit one more amazing town - Yaroslavl. There are 785 historical and cultural monuments in the city 1000 years old.

Day 7, Moscow:

  • This day we leave you free to explore Russian capital your own way. We meet in the evening to enjoy “Farewell” dinner is in the legendary Moscow restaurant “Yar”. The live cabaret show fascinates as the Yar is a big theatee – large stage, artistic decorations, professional light and sound.

Day 8, Moscow:

  • It’s time to pack your presents and have a flight home. We will transfer you to the airport and we will say to you “Do svidaniya”.

faq: how to "read" DOMES OF RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCHES?

Orthodox church domes can be 3 shapes:

  • Round one mean the eternal kingdom of God;
  • Helmet-like refers readiness to fight for God;
  • Candle-like is signify a prayer.
  • All these shapes allow the snow to slide down and not to sustain on top.

The color of domes has its meaning too.

  • The gold is symbolised an celestial glory. The golden domes crown the main cathedrals of Jesus Christ and Twelve Great Feasts.
  • When you see blue domes with golden stars you know: it is Mother of God churches.
  • Green or silver domes are topped Churches in honor of Saints.
